Forecast Snow Stability: The snow cover will initially be firm and generally well bonded throughout. Surface instabilities may be possible on steep slopes exposed to the sun. Most aspects will have good cover above 800 metres with greatest amounts found on North through East to South-East aspects above 800 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry throughout this period. The freezing level will be around 600 metres overnight, rising to around 900 metres by the end of the afternoon. Winds will be from the West to West-North-West, initially strong but easing throughout the day. Observed Weather Influences: A mild day with the freezing level around the higher summits. There was little new precipitation. Winds were strong, West-South-West by the afternoon. ObservedSnowStability: The snow cover is slowly thawing and diminishing in extent but remains generally well bonded. Most aspects still hold snow above 800 metres with greatest amounts on North through East to South-East aspects. Cornices remain fragile. The avalanche hazard is Low.
