Forecast Snow Stability: The snow pack which will be generally well bonded and stable will continue to thaw and deplete with only some minor surface instabilities possible on very steep terrain. Best cover will be on North through East to South-East aspects above 750 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Forecast Weather Influences: Winds will initially be very strong Southerly, by midnight they will veer South-South-West, becoming strong. Rain showers will clear up overnight with some drizzly showers later in the period. The freezing level will remain above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: It has been a generally dry morning with rain showers arriving by lunch time. Winds have been strong South- Easterly. The freezing level was above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: There is patchy well bonded and generally stable snow remaining above 750 metres. Best cover is on high coire rims on North through East to South-East aspects. The snow pack was firm at first with some surface softening later. The avalanche hazard is Low.
