Over a wide area 5 cm of snow, and up to 25 cm in some localities, will fall above approximately 2000 m. The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas above approximately 2200 m and at transitions from a shallow to a deep snowpack. Dry avalanches can be released, mostly by large additional loads, especially on very steep shady slopes. Several small and medium sized avalanches are possible as a consequence of new snow and strong wind.

Below approximately 2200 m from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying. In particular in the regions neighbouring those that are subject to danger level 1 (low) a little snow is lying in all altitude zones. As a consequence of highly fluctuating temperatures and solar radiation a crust formed on the surface during the last few days. Towards its base, the snowpack is largely stable.

The wind will be strong to storm force over a wide area. The weather will be mild.
