Avalanche Activity

Dry slab avalanches and wet avalanches during the day are possible in isolated cases as before.

The older wind slabs can be released in isolated cases, but mostly only by large additional loads, at elevated altitudes. In these regions only isolated natural moist avalanches are possible.

Snowpack Structure

The surface of the snowpack will cool hardly at all during the overcast night and will soften earlier than the day before. The high temperatures in the late morning will give rise to increasing moistening of the snowpack in particular at low and intermediate altitudes.
