The danger of moist and wet avalanches will increase during the day.

The conditions are generally favourable for ski touring. The surface of the snowpack will freeze to form a strong crust and will already soften in the late morning. As a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation there will be a gradual increase in the danger of moist and wet avalanches. In starting zones where no previous releases have taken place and on very steep slopes more small and, in isolated cases, medium-sized moist snow slides and avalanches are possible. Backcountry tours and ascents to alpine cabins should be concluded timely.

The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust. New snow and wind slabs are lying on a wet old snowpack. At higher altitudes, snow cover becomes thinner and patchy; it is better at mid-altitudes, which are less exposed to the wind. Below approximately 1900 m hardly any snow is lying. Weak layers exist in the snowpack in particular on steep shady slopes. As a consequence of the snow drift accumulations will stabilise during the next few days.

Outgoing longwave radiation during the night will be reduced in some case. More moist and wet avalanches are possible.
