In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE above an elevation of 8,000 feet and LOW below that elevation. There were some areas of strong easterly winds overnight. Skiers and riders who venture into steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones and cliff areas at the mid and upper elevations could trigger slab avalanches. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Bitterly cold arctic air will continue to move into the region and will remain in place for the next several days. Skies will be mostly sunny on Tuesday. Temperatures will fall to around -15 to -20 degrees by morning and rise to around zero during the day. Winds will be east to northeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be MODERATE above an elevation of 7,500 feet. Slab avalanches, one to three feet in depth, could be triggered by humans in steep avalanche starting zones and cliff areas. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.
