The general avalanche hazard is MODERATE today. Pockets of new soft slab up to one foot in depth will be forming as the day progresses. These slabs will be easy to trigger on steep wind loaded aspects and have the potential to step down to deeper layers of weak faceted snow. Avoid steep banks, gullies and known avalanche paths.
