Avalanche Activity

Over a wide area only a little snow is lying.

Individual avalanche prone locations are to be found on steep shady slopes, especially in gullies and bowls, and behind abrupt changes in the terrain. Mostly the avalanches are small and can be released by large loads. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

The snowpack is faceted.

Over a wide area precipitation. The weather conditions will cause a rise in the avalanche danger.
