Forecast Snow Stability: There will be a period of poorer stability with the onset of milder conditions and rain; wet snow instabilities will exist where recent accumulations have achieved depth above 900 metres on North-West through North to Easterly aspects. Newly formed cornices will be liable to collapse around coire rims of these aspects. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable.

Forecast Weather Influences: A low-pressure system will bring milder air to the area for a period, accompanied by rain at all levels from first light. Winds will be strong South-South-Easterly. Cooler temperatures will start to return the freezing level to around summits once again, by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: Cold overnight. Snow showers gave way to a fine, cool and mostly dry day. Hill fog/mist, slow to clear, affected lower coire elevations, The winds were light generally Southerly. ObservedSnowStability: Some early in the day small single point release instabilities were noted on Easterly aspects. The snowpack then consolidated considerably as the day progressed. Localised instabilities persist in steepest mainly North-West through North to North-East aspects where less well bonded slab accumulations have achieved depth. Good stability on all windward slopes and ridges. Weak new cornices over selected steep lee slopes. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
