Moist avalanches are the main danger.
The conditions are spring-like. In some localities increase in danger of moist and wet avalanches as a consequence of warming during the day and solar radiation. Mostly small natural moist avalanches are possible, in the event of an overcast night in particular on steep sunny slopes, in particular. Intermediate altitudes,, in isolated cases also on very steep shady slopes. As the day progresses, a few gliding avalanches and moist snow slides are possible. Backcountry tours, off-piste skiing and ascents to alpine cabins should be concluded timely. The older wind slabs can only be released in isolated cases. They are to be found in gullies and bowls and in the high Alpine regions. Avalanches can additionally in some places be released in the old snowpack on steep shady slopes. These avalanche prone locations are rare but are barely recognisable. The prevalence of avalanche prone locations and likelihood of triggering will increase with altitude.
The wind slabs are clearly recognisable. The old snowpack will be in most cases stable. Less snow than usual is lying. On sunny slopes between approximately 2200 and 2400 m from a snow sport perspective, insufficient snow is lying. On Monday on steep sunny slopes several small and medium-sized avalanches were reported. This applies below approximately 2800 m, as well as at the base of rock walls.
The danger of wet avalanches will already exist in the early morning.
