Forecast Weather Influences: Moderate South-South-Westerly winds will increase during the day. Mostly dry untill the afternoon when precipitation will fall as snow on the higher summits. The freezing level will be around 1300 metres, but it will fall to 1000 metres for a time during the day. Observed Weather Influences: Moderate South-South-Westerly winds and a freezing level around 1300 metres. Occasional drizzle, falling as snow on the higher summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well bonded and stable in all locations. Above around 1100 metres there is an icy surface while at lower elevations it is softer and slowly thawing. The avalanche hazard is Low.
