In sintesi

There is a LOW avalanche danger on the Manti Skyline today.

Cooler temperatures have helped stabilize the snowpack after the significant warming trend that occurred over the last week.

Natural and human triggered avalanches are unlikely today.

Special Announcement

Sunday will be the last regularly scheduled avalanche forecast for the Manti Skyline. I'll do intermittent updates through the rest of the month during any significant weather that affects avalanche conditions.

Snow and Weather

Current Conditions: Temperatures cooled dramatically over the last 24 hours as a minor weather disturbance moved through. You'll find the snow surface frozen this morning in the higher terrain.

Mountain Weather: We'll have partly cloudy skies today with temperatures getting up to around 30˚F. Wind will start out with light speeds and then could get pretty strong from the northwest by late afternoon. We'll be in a warming trend Saturday, Sunday and into Monday with mostly clear skies. Currently, I don't see any significant storms through the rest of the month.
