Forecast Snow Stability: The old snowpack that is largely confined to North-West through North to North-Easterly aspects above 800 metres will be stable throughout. Some new accumulations of snow will begin to form windslab and gradually build during the day, mostly above 900 metres on Northerly through East to South-Easterly aspects. Coire rims and gully tops most affected. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Winds storm force South-Westerly overnight gradually lessening and veering Westerly during the afternoon but still remaining strong through the forecast period. Precipitation falling as rain at all levels overnight, then turning to snow by early morning lying mostly above 800m. Freezing level above the summits overnight lowering to around 600m in the afternoon. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with a strengthening, becoming strong, Southerly wind. Freezing level around 600m. ObservedSnowStability: Little change. Any snow cover is largely confined to North-West through North to North-Easterly aspects above 800m and is refrozen firm and stable throughout. Cover mostly consisting of large fields and patches of snow in coire back walls, strips in gullies and around coire rims, bare elsewhere. The avalanche hazard is Low.
