The General Avalanche Hazard is LOW at all elevations this morning but will raise to MODERATE above 9000' this afternoon where new snow and wind will form pockets of surface slabs in steep wind loaded terrain that may triggered to a foot in depth.

A storm should bring snow to WEstern Wyoming form midnight through about noon on Thursday, followed by a cold front and some lingereing afternoon snow showers. High temperatures at 9000' are to be in the upper teens. Winds will increase overnight and will be the strongest between 6am and noon, averaging 25 to 35 mph from the Southwest.AVALANCHE HAZARD FORECAST FOR THE TETON, TOGWOTEE PASS, AND SOUTHWEST TRAILS AREAS:With relatively small amounts of snowfall predicted the avalacnhe hazard should remain LOW at all elevaitons on Thursday, with triggereable isolated pockets to 8" in steep higher terrain.
