The general avalanche hazard is LOW. At the highest elevations new snow and southwest winds formed isolated pockets of new soft slab up to a foot in depth. Humans who venture into steep avalanche starting zones could trigger these pockets of new soft slab. Warming temperatures will increase the chance for human triggered surface slabs or naturally releasing wet-loose slides on steep, sunlit slopes.

Sunday will be dry with morning temperatures in the low 20s warming to the mid 40s. Winds will be southwesterly at 10 to 15 miles per hour. At upper elevations backcountry travelers could find pockets of soft slab to a foot in depth on steep lee slopes. Warming temperatures will make it easy to trigger wet surface sloughs. The hazard at upper elevations will start at LOW and may increase to MODERATE. Sloughs could grow to dangerous size on very steep, open slopes or where debris could concentrate as in ravines or terrain traps. At mid and low elevations the hazard will be LOW where the snowpack has been through numerous melt-freeze cycles and the snowpack is mostly stable.
