Shallow, loose snow sluffs and isolated pockets of soft slab up to a foot in depth could be human triggered or release in response to abundant sunshine in very steep terrain and cliff areas at the higher elevations. Avalanches are unlikely at the lower elevations.

The high pressure ridge to our west will continue to bring mainly quiet weather to our forecast area. On Tuesday skies are expected to be mostly clear during the morning hours. Increasing clouds, associated with a cold front approaching from the north, are likely later in the day. Temperatures will drop into the single digits by morning and rise into the 20s and 30s during the day. Winds will be light from the north and back towards the northwest.The general avalanche hazard in the Teton and Southwest Trails/Greys River areas is expected to be LOW. At the upper elevations isolated pockets of shallow wind slab up to a foot in depth could be human triggered in very steep terrain and cliff areas. The general avalanche hazard in the Togwotee Pass/Continental Divide area is expected to be MODERATE above an elevation of 9,000 feet and LOW below that elevation. This region experienced stronger east winds and received more snow over the weekend. At the higher elevations pockets of wind slab up to two feet in depth could be triggered by skiers or riders in steep, wind loaded avalanche starting zones.
