At the mid and upper elevations yesterdays strong south wind transported snow in exposed areas and onto leeward aspects. The existing shallow snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. In isolated areas, humans who venture into very steep terrain may have some potential to trigger dense surface slabs up to 18 inches in depth. Consequences could be severe. The ground surface is mostly bare below an elevation of 7,500 feet.

Skies are expected to be mostly cloudy with scattered snow showers over the mountains. A northwest flow may bring some minor surges of moisture in the afternoon. Accumulations of an inch or two are possible at the upper elevations. Winds will veer to the northwest and be light at 5 to 15 miles per hour. Temperatures at 9,000 feet will be in the teens and 20s. The general avalanche hazard is LOW and avalanches are unlikely.
