The general avalanche hazard is HIGH today. New snow and strong west winds have formed new soft slabs up to two feet in depth which will increase in depth and volume as the day progresses. Natural avalanche activity is likely and has the potential to step down to deep buried layers of weak faceted snow. TRAVEL IN AVALANCHE TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED TODAY.
