In sintesi

Isolated pockets of dense wind slab up to one foot deep exist in some of the highest avalanche starting zones. Rising temperatures and sunshine will increase the avalanche hazard today. At the mid and upper elevations the general avalanche hazard will be LOW in the early morning hours, rise to MODERATE and then to CONSIDERABLE as the day progresses and the snowpack softens. Wet loose slides involving recently deposited new snow are likely on steep sunlit aspects. Deeper wet slabs and cornice drops are possible in the afternoon. On Sunday afternoon two skiers were caught, carried and injured in steep terrain. Similar events are possible today. Limited terrain is snow covered at the lower elevations. This forecast does not extend to terrain above an elevation of 10,500 feet.
