The general avalanche hazard is LOW, however low hazard does not mean there is no hazard. Isolated pockets of wind slab up to one foot in depth could be triggered by humans who venture into very steep, avalanche-prone terrain. Extra caution is required in cliff areas, above terrain traps and in extreme terrain.

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )The high pressure ridge that has dominated the weather and created steep temperature inversion will remain over the area through Sunday evening. Tonight’s temperatures will drop into the teens in the mountains and to around ten below zero in the valleys. On Sunday skies will be partly to mostly sunny. Temperatures will rise to around 30 in the mountains and into the teens in the valleys. Winds will back towards the southwest at speeds of 10 to 20 miles per hour.The general avalanche hazard is expected to be LOW, however low hazard does not mean there is no hazard. On steep slopes humans could trigger small pockets of wind slab up to one foot deep and in isolated areas loose snow sluffs of weak faceted snow.
