Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are generally safe. Be cautious where you find wind-drifted snow on steep slopes just below a ridgeline. Also, watch for very steep slopes with loose, cohesionless snow. The avalanches you can trigger in these rare places will be small and only pose a serious threat if they drag you into trees, gullies, or creek beds.
