Avalanche Summary

Strong winds and heavy snowfall will result in dangerous avalanche conditions on Wednesday. The most likely place to trigger an avalanche is on a wind-loaded north or easterly-facing slope. Avoid traveling on or under slopes that are receiving wind-drifted snow, especially during times of heavy snowfall. Small avalanches that you trigger in drifted snow can step down to deeper layers on northerly and east-facing slopes.

In sheltered areas, use caution and identify places of unstable snow. This is where you will see shooting cracks in the new snow or where you find harder, drifted snow in unusual places
