In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New snow has resulted in soft slabs to 18" in depth on wind loaded slopes. These slabs lie on new crusts and could be triggered today by backcountry users particularly later in the day if significant warming occurs. Once triggered these slabs could pull out deeper layers of weak snow especially in areas of shallow snowpack.
