Avalanche Summary

Generally safe avalanche conditions exist. The few areas where you might trigger a dangerous avalanche are on steep slopes with wind-drifted slabs of snow above dangerous terrain features like a creek or a cliff. Here, even a small avalanche could take you for a dangerous ride.
