Avalanche Summary

Most slopes are generally free of avalanches. If you were to trigger an avalanche, it would be on a slope steeper than about 35 degrees, harboring stiff, wind-hardened snow. You will most likely find these conditions at upper elevations near ridgelines and in cross-loaded terrain features.
