Avalanche Summary
Most slopes are safe from avalanches. However, be careful on slopes just below ridgelines where wind can build up snow, as these are the areas where you might be able to trigger a small avalanche. Avoid traveling on steep, wind-loaded slopes above dangerous features such as a creek or cliff, where even a small avalanche could have serious consequences.
