Forecast Snow Stability: The isolated windslab accumulations on North-East to South-East aspects above 1000 metres will begin to consolidate. Elsewhere the snowpack will remain well bonded and stable throughout. Greatest amounts will be around coire back walls and plateau areas on North through East to South-Easterly aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry conditions throughout the forecast period. Gale force South-West winds will back to become South-South-Westerly during the day. Sub zero temperatures at around summit levels. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with moderate Westerly winds. Inversion conditions with bands of cool and mild air at various levels.

ObservedSnowStability: There is a dusting of new snow above 900 metres. Isolated pockets of unstable windslab have developed on North-East to South-East aspects above 1000 metres. These are shallow and mostly confined to wind sheltered locations such as coire rims and gully exits. Elsewhere the snowpack is firm well bonded and stable throughout. Greatest amounts are around coire back walls and plateau areas on North through East to South-Easterly aspects above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
