Forecast Snow Stability: Wet snow instability on steep, wind sheltered North to South-East aspects above 900m with the onset of rain from midday. Recently formed cornices over these aspects will weaken during the mild, wet conditions. Better stability at lower altitudes and on less steep ground. The avalanche hazard will be Considerable
Forecast Weather Influences: Overnight snow showers then dry until the onset of rain at all levels from midday. Cold but quickly much milder from noon. Strong-West-South-West winds becoming Southerly then gale force South-Easterly later. Observed Weather Influences: Showers falling as snow above 750m. Cold with strong West South West winds. ObservedSnowStability: Weak windslab has built on steep North to South East aspects above 850m with deeper more extensive deposits at gully tops and near coire rims. New weak but small cornice development noted above steepest lee slopes. Good stability on all recently wind exposed locations and most places below 750m. The avalanche hazard is Moderate
