Forecast Snow Stability: The older snowpack will remain firm, well bonded and stable in all locations. The isolated deposits of moderately bonded windslab that exist on South-East to South aspects above 950 metres will consolidate through the day. These deposits are shallow and not extensive mainly affecting gully tops and coire rims. Snow cover is increasingly patchy below 850 metres, much better cover above. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: It will be a dry day. South-Westerly winds will increase in strength from moderate in the morning to very strong by the end of the afternoon. The freezing level will rise to around 1000 metres. Observed Weather Influences: A day of thick mist with freezing rain above 850m, drizzle below. Winds were fresh North-North-Westerly. The freezing level was around 850m. ObservedSnowStability: The old snowpack is well bonded and stable in all locations. The snowpack is firm above 850m, a gradual thaw continues below. Isolated deposits of shallow moderately windslab are present on South to South-East aspects above 950m. These are not extensive and mainly effect gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard is Low.
