Forecast Snow Stability: The old snowpack which mainly exists in the higher North and East facing corries will generally remain well bonded and stable with a firm surface. Snow showers overnight will form isolated areas of unstable windslab mainly around the tops of summit gullies and steep scarp slopes with an East to South-East aspect. With only very light new snow expected these areas should generally be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: A trace of new snow will affect slopes above 600 metres overnight with isolated snow showers to lower levels later on Monday, amounts are not expected to be great. Winds will be fresh occasionally strong from the North-Westerly quarter, the day time freezing level will be around 300 metres. Observed Weather Influences: Very light snow overnight affected higher slopes mainly above 800 metres. Today has been mainly dry with light Westerly winds, summit temperatures are around -2 degrees Centigrade. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is mainly in the higher North and East facing corries, it is generally well bonded, stable and firm with only the patches at lower elevations softening slightly during the day. New snow overnight has formed isolated shallow surface instabilities on steeper slopes and gullies, these areas are avoidable. The avalanche hazard is Low.
