In sintesi

At the higher elevations the early season snowpack is mostly stable. Recent lighter snow lies over denser old snow layers. Loose snow sloughs and isolated areas of instability are possible on very steep slopes and in extreme terrain. Snow depths below an elevation of 8,500 feet are insufficient to produce avalanche hazards. Exercise normal caution and beware of shallow snowpack hazards.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Friday looks to be mostly sunny. Temperatures should rise from the single digits at all elevations in the early morning to the mid twenties in the mountains and the mid thirties in the valleys. West winds are to have ten to fifteen mile per hour averages on peaks and high ridges. The general avalanche will remain Low.
