In sintesi

With a few inches of new snow coming in on Friday, it is possible that small avalanches can be triggered in wind drifted snow on easterly facing slopes near and above treeline.  I expect wind drifts that produce avalanches to be few and far between but something to keep on the radar.

With such a small amount of new snow expected, wind slabs will mostly show up on isolated terrain features where the terrain does a good job of funneling wind blown snow. These avalanches will be small, but are still something to keep in mind especially if you are dropping into steep and consequential terrain where getting knocked off your edge could result in a bad outcome. Keep an eye on terrain traps lurking on the slope below.

As always with wind slabs, it is useful to monitor how deep wind deposits are. If more snow comes in than expected, or for some reason wind slabs are getting 8" deep or more, consider moving to other aspects or lower angle terrain.
