Avalanche Activity

The wind slabs represent the main danger.

The avalanche prone locations are to be found in particular at the base of rock walls and behind abrupt changes in the terrain and adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. The wind slabs can be released, especially by large additional loads,. As a consequence of warming natural avalanches are possible. Restraint should be exercised because avalanches can sweep people along and give rise to falls.

Snowpack Structure

The wind slabs are to be found adjacent to ridgelines and in gullies and bowls. Faceted weak layers exist in the bottom section of the snowpack in particular on shady slopes.

Tendency

The weather will be cloudy.
