Northwest winds increasing over the next few days. This should warm things up a little and increase the Loose Wet hazard.
With the winds forecast from the Northern 1/2 , any snow still available to transport could begin to form Wind Slabs on Southern 1/2 aspects and in sheltered areas. These slabs will be very dense and difficult to trigger however be cautious if seeking steep terrain on polar aspects above 1800m.

Snow coverage across the forecast area is super variable. Up to 150cm in some areas down to rime covered rocks. With many snow safety practitioners digging all over their areas and guides doing the same, this winters snowpack is becoming quite complicated. Above 1700m a thick rain crust is found closer to the ground with crystal growth observed both above and below. Although not reactive to skier traffic right now the lower snowpack will require monitoring over the next few weeks.
Saturday: Partly cloudy with morning frosts and isolated showers. Rain developing in the afternoon, with snow to 1500m. Northwest winds easing in the morning turning Northeasterly in the evening. Freezing level around 2000m.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with isolated showers clearing to fine in the afternoon. Northeast winds turning Northwest and rising to gale in the morning. Freezing level 1600m.
Wind stripped areas and exposed ridges will be very firm. Ice axe and Crampons are recommended if venturing out.
