Forecast Snow Stability: Little change is expected. The snowpack will remain generally stable. Most of its surface will be frozen and firm, though some softening may occur during the day where exposed to the effects of solar radiation. Glide cracks will continue to widen on selected East aspects below around 800 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: It is expected to remain dry with moderate North-West or North winds. Overnight the freezing level will be around 500 metres, rising a little during the day. Observed Weather Influences: It was a nice dry day, with light mainly North-West winds. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally stable. Its surface is frozen and firm in most places, though in sun exposed locations it did soften later. Glide cracks continue to widen on selected East aspects below about 800 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
