Avalanche Activity

Over a wide area new snow to intermediate altitudes.

Up to 10 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 1700 m. Above approximately 900 m snow will fall on Friday. In particular steep slopes above approximately 1800 m: As a consequence of the new snow natural avalanches are possible, even medium-sized ones. Up to 1500 m rain has fallen over a wide area. In particular extremely steep grassy slopes low and intermediate altitudes: Gliding avalanches are to be expected from the evening. Moderate avalanche danger will prevail.

Snowpack Structure

Over a wide area up to 10 cm of snow has fallen above approximately 1700 m. The rain gave rise to moistening of the old snowpack at low and intermediate altitudes. 10 to 25 cm of snow, and even more in some localities, will fall on Friday above approximately 2000 m.

Tendency

Above approximately 1800 m the avalanche danger will increase in the afternoon.
