CM for 03/04/22 Good general stability. Minor wet snow instability possible later on N to E aspects above 900m. Low Hazard.

Forecast Snow Stability: Good general stability for most of the day. Minor wet snow instability possible on steepest North to East aspects above 900 metres in the afternoon. The older patchy snowpack will remain well bonded throughout. Remaining old cornices will weaken later. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry and cold overnight then progressively milder. Light Northerly winds becoming West-South-West and increasing to moderate by late afternoon. Some light rain preceded by a little snow commencing later in the day. Observed Weather Influences: Light overnight snow showers then dry. Cold but milder later on sun-exposed locations at all altitudes. Light variable winds. ObservedSnowStability: Good stability in most locations. General cover of thin fresh snow above 650 metres with little drifting. Snow on sun exposed slopes melted quickly. Small sporadic pockets of thin cold windslab in a few steep, shaded locations. Old, mature and patchy snowpack is firm or hard and well bonded. The avalanche hazard is Low.
