Forecast Snow Stability: Some wet snow instabilities may develop within the remaining snowpack which lies generally on Northerly aspects above 1000m. Areas affected will be steep corrie headwalls, gully exits and convexities. However, these areas will be isolated and avoidable. Elsewhere the snowpack will be generally well bonded and stable throughout. The avalanche hazard will be Low

Forecast Weather Influences: Southerly storm force winds expected. Rain showers are forecast on and off throughout the day, with the freezing level remaining above the summits. Observed Weather Influences: Light Southerly winds. Rain showers mid-morning then again from mid-afternoon onwards. Clear, fine weather window over mid-day period with some sunshine.
