In sintesi

Above 9,000 feet, skiers and riders might be able to trigger an isolated pocket of slab up to 12 inches deep on very steep, wind loaded slopes that have remained mostly dry over the last week. The snowpack is mostly stable below 9,000 feet. With temperatures starting out around five degrees warmer than yesterday morning, the chance for small wet slides might develop later in the morning if extended breaks in cloud cover occur. Practice social distancing, and keep in mind the extra burden to the healthcare community that a serious accident would create.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Expect partly cloudy skies overnight and through the morning before cloud cover increases in the afternoon and a chance for light, scattered snow showers develops. Southwesterly ridgetop winds will range from 10 to 20 miles per hour. The general avalanche hazard is expected to be Low at all elevations on Monday. On very steep, wind loaded slopes above 9,000 feet that have remained mostly dry, skiers and riders might be able to trigger a small isolated pocket of slab. Below 9,000 feet, the snowpack is mostly stable and avalanches are unlikely. Practice social distancing, and keep in mind the extra burden to the healthcare community that a serious accident would create.
