Avalanche Activity

In some localities some new snow above approximately 2000 m.

The conditions are spring-like. In some localities increase in danger of dry avalanches as a consequence of the new snow. Avalanches can in some places be released in the old snowpack on steep shady slopes. These avalanche prone locations are rare but are difficult to recognise.

Snowpack Structure

The conditions are spring-like. The surface of the snowpack has frozen to form a strong crust. Less snow than usual is lying. At low and intermediate altitudes from a snow sport perspective, in most cases insufficient snow is lying.

Tendency

In some localities some new snow above approximately 2000 m. The avalanche danger will increase but remain within the current danger level. The conditions remain spring-like.
