Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will refreeze during the night and become well bonded and stable throughout. The firm snow surface will soften slightly in the milder conditions during the day, stability will remain good. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: Dry conditions overnight will be followed by rain showers at all levels during the day. The freezing level will rise above the summits during the night, remaining mild throughout the day. Winds will be strong South-Easterly. Observed Weather Influences: Showers throughout the day fell as rain at all levels. Winds were moderate South-Westerly. The freezing level was above the summits. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is generally well bonded and stable. Minor wet snow surface instabilities exist on mainly North through East to South-East aspects above 950 metres. These are generally shallow and confined to wind sheltered locations such as gully tops and coire rims. The avalanche hazard is Low.
