On very steep sunny slopes moist snow slides and avalanches are possible from midday, but they will be mostly small. The old wind slabs can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases on very steep northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. The avalanches are rather small. Also in places that are protected from the wind and shady slopes: The old snowpack is faceted and weak. This snow can be released by a single winter sport participant in isolated cases on extremely steep northeast, north and northwest facing slopes. Here the avalanches are only shallow.

Sunshine and high temperatures will give rise as the day progresses to increasing moistening of the snowpack at transitions into gullies and bowls. Field observations and stability tests confirm the existence of a weak snowack on shady slopes. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes there are 50 to 80 cm of snow, and even more in some localities. At high altitude snow depths vary greatly, depending on the infuence of the wind. At low and intermediate altitudes hardly any snow is lying.

The danger of dry and moist avalanches will persist.
