Forecast Snow Stability: The snowpack will be firm, well consolidated and stable in all locations. Greatest amounts of old, firm and icy snow will be on coire headwalls and plateau areas, on North to South-East aspects above 900m. Any new snow is not expected to be significant. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Snowpack Structure

Forecast Weather Influences: A predominantly dry day, with only light snow forecast above 1000m. Gale force South-Westerly winds will ease to moderate in the early hours, then veer West-South-West and steadily increase to very strong throughout the day. The freezing level will decrease to around 1000m. Observed Weather Influences: A dry day with gale force South-Westerly winds. The freezing level is around summit level. ObservedSnowStability: The snowpack is well consolidated and stable in all locations. The isolated and avoidable windslab accumulations on mostly East to South-East aspects above 1000 metres are well bonded. Greatest amounts of snow are on North to South-East aspects above 900m. The avalanche hazard is Low.
