Forecast Snow Stability: Drier conditions by morning will aid the consolidation process. The snowpack will be moist at all levels with generally good stability. Surface wet snow instabilities will exist on the very steepest slopes and gullies but these should be avoidable. The avalanche hazard will be Low.

Forecast Weather Influences: The freezing level will in the main be above the summits. Overnight rain will affect all levels becoming drier by morning with light showers later. Winds will be fresh to strong from the South-Westerly quarter. Observed Weather Influences: Mild conditions with rain at all levels have affected the area. Summit temperatures have been around +3 Centigrade. Winds have been strong to gale force generally Westerly. ObservedSnowStability: With the current mild and wet conditions the snowpack has reduced at lower levels, greatest accumulations remain in the high Northerly and Easterly facing corries. Wet snow instabilities exist on the very steepest slopes and gullies with a North-East to South-Easterly aspect but these areas are generally avoidable. Elsewhere stability is mainly good. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
