The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE today. New soft slabs to two feet in depth have formed on steep leeward slopes. These slabs lie upon weak faceted snow and crusts and could be easily triggered by riders and skiers on wind loaded aspects in avalanche terrain.
