In sintesi

The general avalanche hazard is CONSIDERABLE. Recent snow and very strong winds have formed surface slabs to three feet in depth on steep leeward slopes. These slabs lie upon a weak snow pack and back country riders or skiers could trigger slides with depths of over five feet to the ground.

Avalanche Discussion

( Discussion is generated from the previous day's afternoon forecast. )Light snow is expected to fall overnight and into Thursday before a fast moving system brings another round of moderate snowfall to the area Thursday evening. Mountain temperatures are to remain in the mid twenties through Thursday afternoon with mountain top winds from the West at 25 to 35 mph. The General Avalanche Hazard is expected to be CONSIDERABLE on Thursday. Humans could trigger soft slabs to three feet in depth on lee slopes that were formed by the recent storm. The potential also remains to pull out deeper, hard slabs to six feet in depth in steep areas that have not yet slid.
