Avalanche Summary

Areas along the crest of the Park Range are expected to receive 10 to 12 inches of snow with strong winds from late Friday through Saturday morning. If you are traveling above treeline, steer around drifts of snow that you find below ridgetop on north and northeast-facing slopes. You can trigger small avalanches in these drifts of snow. Although these avalanches will be small, they can knock you off your feet and push you over thinly covered rocks and downed trees.
