The snowpack will be generally stable.
The snowpack will be generally stable.
In particular adjacent to ridgelines and in pass areas rather small wind slabs formed. Caution is to be exercised in particular in extremely steep shady starting zones at high altitude. Even a small avalanche can sweep snow sport participants along and give rise to falls.
The old snowpack is well consolidated and its surface has a strong melt-freeze crust. In some cases the wind slabs have bonded poorly with the old snowpack. In particular at intermediate and high altitudes there is still a very large amount of snow.
Some snow will fall from the afternoon. Light snowfall above approximately 1400 m.
