Forecast Snow Stability: The remaining snow is expected to become much firmer by the end of the forecast period. Greatest areas of snow will be found on the highest plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard will be Low.
Snowpack Structure
Forecast Weather Influences: As the high pressure declines it will become much cooler with the freezing level dropping in the afternoon to around 600 metres. It is expected to remain dry. Winds strengthening from the North-North-East, becoming fresh by the end of the day. Observed Weather Influences: Cold in the glen\'s overnight with the freezing level remaining above the summits. Generally a bright day with high level cloud developing over the area. Winds were very light. ObservedSnowStability: The snow is much firmer than of late and is stable throughout. Greatest areas of snow are found on the highest plateau areas and in North to East facing corries above 900 metres. The avalanche hazard is Low.
