Forecast Snow Stability: Poorly bonded windslab will continue to accumulate throughout the period, with North though East to South-East aspects above 850 metres being most affected. Steep locations such as coire rims, scarp slopes and gully tops are typical examples, and in these locations windslab will contain instabilities where it achieves depth. Outwith these locations a shallow covering of snow will overlie bare ground. Fragile cornices will continue to develop. The avalanche hazard will be Moderate.

Forecast Weather Influences: Showers are expected throughout the forecast period. Initially this will fall as snow above 600 metres overnight, before lighter showers fall to glen level until morning. After a dry spell further light snow flurries will fall above 600 metres in the afternoon. Winds will be from the North-West overnight before backing to the West during the day. Windspeeds will be gale force overnight, although gradually easing to become moderate by the end of the forecast period. Observed Weather Influences: Frequent showers built in intensity as the day progressed, these falling as snow above 600 metres. Winds were predominately from the South during the day and of moderate strength, increasing to strong later. At midday the freezing level was around 600 metres. ObservedSnowStability: A cosmetic trace of snow was observed above 600 metres. Above 850 metres poorly bonded windslab was being deposited in sheltered steep locations of a North-West, through North-East to East aspect. Accumulations displaying instabilities were mainly isolated and avoidable but continued to gain depth throughout the period. The avalanche hazard is Moderate.
